You Cannot Win Them All

You may be looked on as the king of the town
But there's always somebody for to drag you down
Not everyone your success will celebrate
And not everyone will look upon you as great
Not everyone will say how marvellous you are
Or for one as great as you one must travel far
Not everyone your praises will choose to sing
But suppose in itself that is not a bad thing
Hero worship big egos do often create
As the ego is not a hard thing to inflate
So many may hold you in high esteem
Still you'll have a few knockers just a few it does seem
But in hindsight suppose one can readily recall
That you well may win many but you cannot win them all.
