Compared to most my worries do seem small
And real hardship in my life I don't have to recall
Nor I can't say I've known much of ache or pain
In fact I don't have any reason to complain
I'm happy to have Nature living near
The songbirds singing in the park I hear
The weather seems perfect in every way
The sun is shining 'tis a lovely day
So many people without food to eat
Without a home on Poverty's Poor Street
Without the gift of luck their lot may well be mine
Compared to them one might say I'm doing fine
In life I've been lucky as lucky as can be
And I can't complain there's far worse off than me.
