God In Her Eyes

In her early thirties so gentle and wise
The beautiful woman with God in her eyes
I feel that I did speak to a living saint
A person on canvas an artist would love for to paint
Her type of person one does not often meet
So down to earth, humble and free of conceit
One who does seem quite unaffected by guile
She expresses great warmth in her beautiful smile
A State nurse without children she lives a single life
But for some lucky man she would make a good wife
She has gone from our neighbourhood her I may never meet again
But fond memories of her with me bound to remain
Until the Reaper will claim the breath of life from me
The great God of kindness in her eyes I did see.
