Like you I was driven by ambition my daydreams of fame I recall
But my prime years went all too quickly and compared to most my achievements seem small
But in hindsight does it really matter we are born to die after all
To the unavoidable sharp scythe of the reaper the billionaire like the pauper must fall
We all have our daydream to follow a dream that through life we pursue
But that we all don't become wealthy and famous is only stating what's obviously true
The summit of ultimate success is beyond most but at what you hope to succeed at if you do try your best
It is not a sin to be found wanting in life there is many a test
Life in many ways like a horse race for one to win many must lose
But none can take from you your daydreams in your daydreams you can be what you choose
It is not very hard for to imagine and so easy to visualize
You are the one the fans are applauding a hero in the admirers eyes
So you carry on with your daydreams and hear the crowds chanting your name
Since in the end it does not matter the reaper treats all as the same.
