We have been learning from life since we learned how to crawl
And to the scythe of the Reaper we eventually must fall
For everyone there is a last night and day
On how long we live the Reaper has the say.
On negative things perhaps we should not dwell
And the gifts we are blessed with we ought to use well
That you are the most influential one of the town
Doesn't give you the right for to put others down.
Old sayings with truth in them I love to recall
Such as to each their own and a fair go for all
'Tis harder to be kind than 'tis to be cruel
And 'tis sad to think that those with compassion are not born to rule.
It is surely a fact and facts never lie
That we will be learning from life 'til the day that we die
Yet the wonder in us only does seem to grow
That of life the more we learn the less we know we know.
