'Tis All About Winning

'Twould seem that their stories will never be told
Those in Beijing who never did win a bronze, silver or gold
As for the poor Countries post Beijing without any medals to show
In the sporting World so few of them will wish to know
The so called friendly games does not seem that way
It is all about winning that does seem sad to say
For the losers there will never be a huge parade
'Tis out of stories of winners that films are made
I'm a cynical fellow one hard to impress
Since I cannot feel any joy in others success
The Olympic Games I do not see as sport
An egotistical showpiece I could never support
National pride is at stake and Worldwide sporting esteem
And 'tis all about winning that's how it does seem.
