Don't want money for my birthday mum buy me a mouse instead
I'll keep him in a little cage on floor beside my bed
I haven't had a pet for years since my last mouse passed away
And I would appreciate a mouse this year for my birthday.
No Liam I'll not buy you a mouse for your birthday 'no way'
But I'll buy you a pair of jeans instead his mum to him did say
You are thirty years of age now Liam and you don't need a live toy
And a mouse would seem more of a gift for a little girl or boy.
Liam like the Batman comic books and he likes Spiderman too
And he likes showing to everyone his Superman tattoo
The child within him is alive he's still a child at heart
From childhood years and childish ways he never did depart.
I often wish I were like Liam and have my child within
I've lost him many years ago out in the world of men
A little mouse for my birthday would bring me hours of joy
But I have lost my inner child and I can't be a boy.
Don't want money for my birthday mum buy me a mouse instead
I'll keep him in a little cage on floor beside my bed
I haven't had a pet for years since my last mouse passed away
And I would appreciate a mouse this year for my birthday.
