Of the bravery of great warriors the praises we may sing
But violence as such never solves anything
'Tis said that war separates the man from the boy
So many dead heroes since Homer's legends of Troy.
Some may say that peace can come from the barrel of a gun
But the white flower of peace has not bloomed in the sun
For centuries and centuries and centuries of years
Guns and bombs never bring peace only sorrow and tears.
We have heard of the saying the good only die young
But the dead do not hear when their praises are sung
The war supposed to end all wars some nine decades gone
But the wars between people are destined to live on.
For as long as human-kind in the World does exist
The need for blood letting some could never resist
And for as long as to different gods we do pray
Full human enlightenment seems that far away.
