Some We Have Dealings With

Some we have dealings with do disappoint us
Though into our lives them we did invite
Perhaps in it for us there is some lesson
That when we choose we do not always choose right.

Everyone who comes into our lives comes for some reason
By wiser council so we have been told
But some do never learn from life's experience
They do not grow wiser though they do grow old.

Some we have dealings with become our good friends
And for as long as we'll live as our friends they will remain
In the game of life you cannot always be a winner
But in every loss you have there is some gain.

The people in our lives by us invited
That's what wise people have been known to say
From the book of life we are always learning
And we do not stop learning as we grow old and gray.
