The sky is glowing red where the sun is setting above saltwater the ocean seems so still
And larks are carolling o'er the lush green paddock as twilight slowly gathers on the hill
It has been quite a warm day for November the evening calm with only the faintest breeze
As the sun sets the evening does grow cooler a high today of thirty two degrees
I love these pleasant evenings of November only eleven sunsets left of Spring
On trees and bushes around the coastal country the nesting birds of song whistle and sing
I wish a day like this would last forever and i wish that every day were like today
The Seasons first hay bales in the new mown meadow emit the pleasant aroma of hay
The willy wagtail sitting on the fence post his tail is ever switching to and fro
You only see him where insects are abundant where flies are plentiful he seems to know
Were i a poet i would write of such evenings and of Nature's beauty i would proudly sing
I would pen a song to ageless Mother Nature and to the lovely green Goddess of Spring
One could not ask for a more pleasant evening the grey backed magpies piping as they fly
The blackbird singing to proclaim his borders and the skylark carolling in the darkening sky.
