The temperatures in the mid twenties around twenty five degrees
And the sparrows are chirping on the bushes and trees
And white butterflies flitting in the warm sunlight
In near perfect weather so breezy and bright.
The sky is so blue in it not any gray
As near as one can hope for to a perfect day
With this kind of weather one cannot complain
Though the brown dry earth is thirsty and in need of rain.
Near the end of the Summmer approaching the Fall
On the sunlit pathway a billion ants crawl
The pee wees in the parkland to each other call
And the children are laughing as they chase a ball.
It is such a beautiful time of the year
The cooler days of Autumn to us now are near
The bush flies are buzzing and in the blue sky
The dark welcome swallows they chirp as they fly.
