The Fault Finders

You may be a very good person well known and well liked in the town
But there's one or two who do not like you and there is one to put you down
Some only search for faults in others in their ways these people are small
You may win the respect of many but you cannot win the respect of all.

You may help the poor and the needy those who never will know of success
And most will say you are a great person though a few you will not impress
Such people were born to be knockers in any way not fair or wise
They only seek the flaws in others their joy in life to criticize.

You may be a very good person and do a good deed every day
And for to help out other people you always go out of your way
And whilst many will sing your praises and good things of you only say
There will be one or two who will knock you for living there's some price to pay.

You may be a marvellous person one blessed with true kindness of heart
One who does embrace worthy causes for a better World you play your part
And whilst the majority do sing your praises not all the toast glass to you raise
In every town there are fault finders and others they never do praise.
