Enough Is Enough

They do not seem to like me or the look of my face
And my shadow will never more darken their place
For my fish and chips them I always did pay
And in whom I buy my food from I do have a say.

If they choose to dislike me well that suits me fine
The money is out of their pocket not mine
Their hard looking faces their unfriendly eyes
Their feelings they don't even try to disguise.

Perhaps it's my accent they don't like about me
Or who knows what faults in us others might see
Yet I did not go into their shop to ask them for a loan
And to be greeted with faces as silent and as cold as stone.

I have travelled far from my own native Land
But the ways of some people I don't understand
I've worked and mixed with different peoples as I've moved around
And the good and the bad in all Races I've found.

Enough is enough my shadow never more
Will darken the concrete steps at their shop door
Their's is not the only fish and chips shop in town
They've got competition just a few doors down.
