I remember she wagged her tail as she licked my hand goodbye
That was four years ago how time does seem to fly
For to save her further suffering I paid the vet to have her put down
And together we will never more walk on the streets of Town.
Jedder was my good mate for over twelve years
And memories of her still brings me close to tears
Her love for me was unconditional she was my faithful friend
Still all of the good times one day have to come to an end.
Of her some good memories I have to recall
She loved to fetch stick and she loved to fetch ball
For her unconditional love a pat and a feed
And a walk in the park was all she did need.
A blue heeler border Collie cross a black and white with white on her face
I do not have a dog now for none to take her place
I had to have her put to sleep as her balance had gone
And I could not bear to see her just suffering on.
Four years ago on this week Jedder breathed her last
And though the past can't be changed since the past is the past
I sometimes think of her and to myself say
She rest in peace now like I too will some day.
