They remind me of naughty children in their immature way
In the Chambers of Parliament every day
They behave like rude schoolboys at each other they shout
The worth of our democratically elected parliamentarians one has to doubt
Not honorable in nature only in name
Their heckling each other is far more about power and fame
Than any love of their Country or the people they represent
The shortage of mature and decent politicians is a cause to lament
The members of the ruling party and the opposition of each other have never kind things to say
Like school yard bully boys mind games they do play
Many of them elected to Parliament will never come to know
That respect you don't get if respect you don't show
For power and fame they squabble like rude children do over their toys
And it can be said of them that boys will be boys.
