The Country that she hails from is far north of here and far away
A heavily populated Indian City known Worldwide as Bombay
Her skin as brown as a ripe chestnut her shoulder length hair as black as coal
And her beautiful dark brown eyes are the mirror to her soul.
Her lovely white teeth on display each time she laugh or smile
And she seems shy and down to earth untouched by conceit or guile
Her exotic Indian accent like the sweet air to a song
A beauty queen though that title to her does not belong.
Perhaps in her mid twenties and in her glorious prime
She is the type of woman who inspires the poets to rhyme
The young local males rave about her how beautiful they say
But this town not home from home to her and here she will not stay.
The sweet lilt of her accent can take one by surprise
Not up herself in any way she seems so kind and wise
For some very lucky fellow she will make a lovely wife
A rare exotic beauty for to brighten up his life.
Here in this coastal country town she will not grow old and gray
She will be further north of here when the leaves are brown in May
But she will be remembered for her beauty and the warmth in her good day
This young and lovely Indian woman from the big Town of Bombay.
