They tell me of this paradise reserved for the just
And of how they love their god and in their god they trust
I argue god does not exist yet they come back for more
And each time when in the neighbourhood they knock on my door.
We are god's messengers that's what they tell me
We too were like you but god has set our souls free
Of darkness and cynicism and negativity
A different world to your world we see.
They offer me their literature to read but to them I say no
On what I do not believe in why should I wish to know
And though I firmly believe in to each their own
I am one with sin so I can't cast the stone.
With me their beliefs they're determined to share
And they try to convince me for to join them in prayer
They have saved their own souls and now mine they must save
Though I am convinced that life ends in the grave.
They cannot convince me though they don't cease to try
Of their god in his heaven somewhere in the sky
I tell them god does not exist but they come back for more
And each time when in the neighbourhood they knock on my door.
