She Has Convinced Herself

When she looks in her mirror her real self she can't see
She says I look fat and overweight though she doesn't seem that way to me
But our eyes can only tell us what our eyes want us to believe
And through her eyes this woman her own self she deceive.

She has even convinced herself that she has a huge appetite
That she has been eating too much she must go on another diet
She eats an orange for her lunch and an apple for her dinner
And she feels she is putting on weight whilst in truth she gets thinner.

She has convinced herself that she is getting fatter
And though others tell her differently to her what only matter
Is the mirror on her bedroom wall and her weighing scales which gives a wrong weight reading
And her eyes yes her own eyes her keep on misleading.

She has convinced herself that she needs to look slimmer
That she needs to jog more miles she is a non swimmer
And on the sunlit beach she perspires as she is running
Whilst most others on beach blankets themselves are sunning.

She has convinced herself she has an eating addiction
And no stronger belief than our own self conviction
An orange for lunch and an apple for dinner
And she feels she is getting fatter whilst in truth she gets thinner.
