The Poets Live On In Their Words

'Tis said by some that poets are born and poets cannot be made
Whilst others say that anyone can learn the wordsmith trade
And good poets come and good poets go but their words will live on
And their poems will be read and loved long after they are gone.

The poets live on in their words and though with the dead they lay
Their poems by centuries will outlive their own physical decay
And though nothing lives forever save for Nature's own Goddess
Good poems they live for centuries and they give great happiness

To every poetry lover who read in their leisure time
Whether they like the non rhyming poems or they like poems that rhyme
The poets too only mortal and though the poets die
They leave behind their verses for others to enjoy.

On poetry sites on the Worldwide Web the poems of thousands of poets can be read
The poems of the contemporary poets and the poems of poets long dead
And some will tell you poets are born and they cannot be made
And some will tell you anyone can learn the Wordsmith trade.
