I Do Love

I do love the light of the sun on the trees
And in the leafy branches the soughing of the breeze
And the songs of the birds sweet music to the ear
The sweet sounds of Nature I do love to hear.

I do love the sound of the rippling rill
That flows by the hedgerow on it's way down the hill
Down to the big river forever it flow
Of the sweeter sounds of Nature who would not wish to know.

I don't like it when I hear thunder crack in the sky
Not all sounds of Nature we are meant to enjoy
And I don't like the big wind that knock tall trees down
And blow the roof tiles off of the houses in town.

The humming of nectar gathering bees on a sunny day
The chirpings of crickets from view hidden away
Are sounds that I love and pleasant memories remain
Of the songs of tiny breeding frogs in pond and drain.

I do love the natural scent of the wildflowers of Spring
And the sweet smell of blossoming trees is a memorable thing
And I love Mother Nature I penned for her this song
Since I am part of her and to her I belong.
