In Your Search For God

In your search for God I'm sure you will not find
God amongst the covetous, the greedy and unkind
The selfish of the bigger World out there
Who take and take without knowing how to give or to share
And you may not even find God where people assemble to pray
As many people are judgemental in their own way
And God amongst them would not wish to stay
The so called religious people of the World of today
Though they have sung their hymns of praise and prayed
You will not find God where war people parade
They may be wealthy or living in poverty
In every good person God You do see
For God does live in the confines of the mind
Of the loving and the generous, the caring and kind.
