I Have Loved Wild Birds

I have loved wild birds since I was a young boy
Just watching and listening to them has brought me hours of joy
My wonderment of them only does grow
And so little about them I know I do know
From our walks in Nature we learn every day
And I'm not lying to you when to you I do say
That every species of bird from the biggest to the small
For their every mood does have a different call
I do pity the birds too heavy for to fly
They will never know the freedom of the sky
But each creature in Nature has it's own niche to fill
And each species of bird to serve it's need has a different shape of bill
And though most birds are recognizable by their chirping or their song
Even in that sometimes one can be proven quite wrong.
