Though he has just celebrated his one hundred birthday he talks of his birthday next year
The fear of death keeps us all living the ego of death lives in fear
He may have lived a happy and a long life but he has no wish for to die
The fear of death keeps us all living that's a fact and facts never lie
The one without ego doesn't fear death but those without ego are rare
The most of us do want to live on though our life crosses seem heavy to bear
The Reaper of lives we do fear most our life's breath he'll claim from us one day
But that we do not wish to give thought to though we may be ageing and gray
'Tis said that three score and ten years is the average human life span
Perhaps a bit more for a woman perhaps a bit less for a man
Only Nature herself lives forever another fact of life of which we do know
And as we grow older it does seem the more fearful of death we do grow
He has just celebrated his one hundred birthday fifty years older than his eldest Grandson
And now he is looking forward to his birthday one hundred and one.
