My Dear Mother Nature

I've loved you since I was a boy in a Land far away
And I love you as much as I did then today
And though little about you I can claim to know
My wonder of you only does seem to grow
Like your Seasons to life our kind do come and go
And our very existence to you we do owe
Most of your great trees by humans with chainsaws cut down
As men add to the size of every city and town
They dig up your ground for the riches you hold
And steal from you your oil, diamonds, opals, silver, gems and gold
We never pay you the respect you are due
If we do not respect you to ourselves we cannot be true
My dear Mother Nature of singing your praises I never could tire
And your unrivalled beauty I can only admire.
