We All Were Born Perfect

What I dislike in others in my own self I do see
The darkness that envelopes them is enveloping me
The most of us flawed the near perfect seem rare
And so few like Mother Therese who for others truly care
We all were born perfect or so we have been told
And the sleeping baby in the cot is perfection to behold
But the perfection we were born with 'twould seem with us does not stay
It leaves us many Seasons before our hair starts to gray,
We all will receive the karma the karma we are due
And that there's no fool like an old fool so happens to be true
I cannot disagree with those who practice forget and forgive
Or those who truly believe in to live and to let live
Yet even I who is slow to learn has come to realize
That everyone grows older but very few grow wise.
