The Inchaleigh Climbers

The Inchaleigh climbers Denis O Mahony and Mary his wife
To climb mountains to them seems a way of life
In hill climbing they have carved their own renown
And they have stood on many summits far from Millstreet Town.

I love Mary's images and stories of their mountain adventures on the Millstreet Web site
Of their many climbs in Nature she does love to write
They train for their steep climbs and sharpen their skill
On the slopes of old Clara Jerry and Ann Marie O Mahony's Hill.

As climbers of mountains their fame it has grown
And far from Duhallow the Mahonys are known
In the hearts of the climbers courage to be found
And each climb a new challenge on steep rugged ground.

Far from Duhallow's green old countryside
The Inchaleigh climbers are known far and wide
They love the high places too steep for the plough
And they've been climbing mountains for many years now.
