On the length of human life there are no guarantees
People die young in wars and of disease
In every countryside, village and city and town
People die in motor accidents and people drown
People die of malnutrition and from their Homelands afar
Fighting in war zones in another man's war
Only the lives of the rich and famous in book form is told
And an octogenarian is one who is one considered as old
In the Human World that we live in today
Time it does tick on as some do like to say
My better days it does seem are long in the past
But on looking back time it did tick on so fast
The facts do tell us so and facts never lie
That as mortals us humans are born to die.
