I've Done My Bit Of Traveling

I've done my bit of traveling south of my homeland shore
And I've seen sights of great beauty though others have seen and traveled more
Than I have ever traveled and seen far more than I have ever seen
So many Countries and great Cities that to I have never been.

Though I've traveled and I live far from where I once called home
I have never seen the Pyramids or the Seven Hills of Rome
And though some do say in reference it is a small World after all
This World that we live in is anything but small.

The wild places of Nature have always appealed to me
And so many marvelous spectacles that I would love to see
Just to see the huge herds of wildebeest migrating on the Serengeti plain
Would be a marvellous memory that with one a whole lifetime would remain

 I have worked with many different sorts of people and I've mixed with many a Race
Since the lust of wander took me far south of my home place
The clock on my life is ticking and the years have left me gray
In the Autumn of my existence I have known a better day.
