The hard roads of life he has been up and down
He has travelled in many a countryside and worked in many a town
But he won't be going back to the town far away
To the place where he first looked upon lamp of day
The women he has made love to in numbers do grow
But whether he has fathered children or not he does not seem to know
Twenty eight years healthy and virile and in his life's prime
One can say of him on his side he has time
He is fond of the women and fond of the beer
And after eight to ten drinks he is full of good cheer
But he's never out to spoil anyone's night
And he never has been involved in a fight
He does not take himself seriously and he laughs loud at a joke
And he is what one would call a likeable bloke.
