Allow Him To Grieve

For his past sorrows allow him for to weep
Tonight again he will cry himself to sleep
For the one he loved who at peace forever lay
In the cemetery that overlook the bay
Tonight again old Willy walks home from the pub in tears
For what has been and for the happier years
The beer stirs up sad memories of his wife
The dearest friend he ever knew in life
A sentimental old bloke some who know of him say
But some of our best memories can be sad life it can be that way
Last year on the evening of the tenth day of May
The Reaper from her stole the life's breath away
And his tears are for her the greatest love he has known
Allow him to grieve his feelings are his own.
