From home one can say he lives many a mile
The tall dark skinned man from the banks of the Nile
The home of the dangerous and fierce crocodile
The amphibious reptile with death in it's smile
A chief in his tribe and a celebrated man
But that all changed for him when the war began
And his wife and his children two boys and two girls in a massacre died
By a callous and cowardly act his life dreams were destroyed
In this far southern Country a poor refugee
Yet of the fear of harassment he is now living free
A man who once had the status of a king
But due to war one who in his life has lost everything
And perhaps he'll never again see the brown banks of the Nile
The home of the hippo and the crocodile.
