Though their problems to you may seem small their problems to them are so real
For we do not live in their shoes and we cannot feel how they feel
And we cannot think how they think about their crosses of life
We cannot put ourselves in their place they too have their own inner strife.
They too have their crosses to bear though you may say haven't we all
The worries that seem big to one to others may seem very small
With others in their times of need we may very well sympathize
But the way they feel in their hearts we cannot even hope to realize.
Their problems to us may seem small but we cannot go inside their mind
And to tell them their worries not big of us not understanding or kind
We cannot look into their hearts and see their mental scars in there
And to say their worries are small seems unsympathetic and unfair.
Their problems to you may seem small you who have never lived in their shoes
And sad to think for one to win so many in some ways must lose
You cannot look into their hearts or feel the sort of pain they do feel
And though their problems to you may seem small to them they are huge and quite real.
