We eat and we sleep and to the toilet we go
And what is wrong from what is right the most of us know
And the rich and the poor do breathe the same air
There are things in common that we all do share
And one day or night sooner or later we all have to die
The reaper won't spare the life of you or I
We all go back to Nature some are known to say
And in Nature's bosom what is left of us will lay.
You may know of great wealth and you may know of great fame
But at the end of your life's journey for you 'twill be the same
As the poor homeless person who lives on poverty street
Rummaging in trash bins for something edible to eat.
The president, the monarch and the billionaire
Their lives not important enough for the reaper to spare
The wealthy and famous in life may be great
But like the paupers with the reaper they too have a date.
We all share things in common despite what some might say
And for each one of us there will be a last day
And the longer we will live the sooner we will die
Is a fact of life and facts never do lie.
