You ask me what makes for a good person he or she always walks tall
And spiritually they are big people though physically some of them may look small
They do not pass judgements on others or of them negative stories recall
And they are open and broad minded and believe in a fair go for all.
You ask me what makes for a good person a good person one of those who
Is one who believe in the principle of I am not better than you
They do not judge by race or colour or of by the work that you do
In my travels I've met with good people and in retrospect quite a few.
You ask me what makes for a good person a good person believes in fair play
And good people for to help out others will always go out of their way
Good people and I have known plenty embrace all of the good things in life
And one is is not a good person though courteous to others if whilst at home he abuses his wife,
You ask me what makes for a good person a good person not one who judge
And a good person forgets and forgives and is not one who harbours a grudge
And I know plenty of good people free of deceit and greed and guile
And they never laugh at but with you and they find it easy to smile.
