The famous dead their names we may recall
But the gift of life is the greatest gift of all
For fame it is quite useless to the dead
I am sure by others you have heard that said,
Another Summer I've survived to see
And Nature's beauty is all around me
The honeyeaters chirp on flowering bush and tree
They flock together as a family,
Were i a poet of such beauty i would write
A poem that readers would feel happy for to read and to recite
A pleasant sunny day of twenty two degrees
White butterflies are dancing in the breeze
And the young sparrows chirp on the hedgerow
From life and Nature so much to learn of and know.
