To Each Their Own

The hobby golfer goes on a golfing week end and with his mates the eighteen holes he play
And the football fan he goes to watch his team play and if they win it helps to make his day
And the horse lover rides upon her pony along the bush track fringed by rough grass overgrown
And every one in some ways are quite different and as it has been said 'to each their own'.

The tennis lover with her mate plays tennis she do look forward to the week end game
And the artist sits and paints a wooded landscape and he is one who dreams of wealth and fame
And the fisher sits on a rock on the sea shore and casts his line into the white ocean foam
His wish to catch a nice fish for his supper and like they say again to each their own.

The bowler loves his relaxing game of lawn bowls with his old mates down at the bowling club
And the boxing fan watches the big fight on sky channel whilst drinking beer in the lounge of his local pub
And the poet goes for a walk in a quiet place in search of inspiration for a poem
It would be a boring world a world of sameness and thanks be to the powers that be for to each their own.

'Twould be a boring world a world of sameness if everybody the same game did play
If everybody had all things in common and looked at life in the exact same way
Each of us in our own way an individual and for our different personalities we are known
And it's our different ways that makes us seem interesting and thanks be to goodness for to each their own.
