Noella gone from Selby but of pain she now is free
And perhaps she's in a better place so save your sympathy
For her husband and her children and her sister and her ageing mum and dad
And for her many friends who will tell you she was the best friend they had.
With scarcely two score years behind her she seemed so young to die
But in the brief life given to her she spread a lot of joy
A good wife and a good mother and to many a good mate
Do not weep for Noella Favier Trickey but her life celebrate.
Feel for Noella's family now burdened by grief's cross
And for the Selby community much worse off for her loss
And though from the wooded high country she is forever gone
In the Shire of Yarra Ranges her legacy lives on.
Good people like Noella outlive the grave of death
And all of those who knew her they never could forget
A spiritual human being who did not live to be old
And a woman in a billion she had a 'heart of gold'.
