The Man Who Could Not Settle Down Anywhere

To live a settled existence to him would be living a lie
As the wander bug will be in him till he die
He has been to many big towns in the big World out there
The man who could not settle down anywhere
He is in his mid sixties and balding and gray
And clearly he has seen a far better day
But the sedentary lifestyle is not for him he does say
And he'd like to see more Lands from here far away
He says it is true I'm a well traveled man
But I've not been to Egypt, Turkey or Japan
And I've not seen the Pyramids or visited Rome
But on the roadway to the next town I do feel at home
The bug of wander till he die in him will remain
And he is happy to be back on the highway again.
