Nohopetown

It seems a long way from success and renown
For the young people who live in old Nohopetown
Job seekers from there employers fail to impress
Even the lucky few blessed with a postal address
When applying for work are told you we don't need
By their circumstance of birth not meant to succeed
In Nohopetown you won't meet one millionaire
And on the dreary streets smiling faces are rare
As poor a people as you'd meet anywhere
Though many poor towns in the big World out there
In the Town where everybody are doing it tough
Where your best try in life not seen as good enough
In Nohopetown beset by want and poverty
Compared to the poor souls who live there how lucky are we?
