In Confidence He Was Not Lacking

He stood there at the busy street corner with his mobile phone held to his ear
He shouted loud above the traffic his business was not hard to hear
When finished he put the phone back in his pocket and confidently strode down the street
In confidence he was not lacking so much indeed for self conceit
I must be a judgemental fellow for to comment on the things i do see
I'm just part of this big silly World and silliness all around me
So full of our own self importance our own voices we love to hear
Our idea of success all that matter though our idea of failure we do fear
These things are all part of our egos as for more success we do strive
Not many nowadays are that humble to admit 'tis a used car they drive
On his mobile phone at the street corner he did not seem soft spoken or shy
He made sure that his business transaction would be heard by those walking nearby.
