His loss to humanity cannot be denied
It was a sad day the day that Bobby died
Gunned down by one who was not right in the head
The hopes of a better World to live in with him lay dead
When gunfire rang out in the Ambassador Hotel
The great Robert Francis Kennedy to the floor fell
His very equal we may not see again
But memories of what might have been with us remain,
He was the great man who stood out in the crowd
The philosophical fellow who never spoke too loud
But he never became president of the U S of A
And that does seem a very sad thing for to say
He did not live on for to grow old and gray
And the World is far worse off without him today.
