We Only Hear One Side Of The Story

You tell me you support the so called just war where thousands of people have died
Where mothers weep for their dead children and cities by bombings destroyed
Where many of the injured must live with limbs missing perhaps they'd be better off dead
We only hear one side of the story and of the victims little said.

We only hear one side of the story and you believe all they tell you
But have you ever thought to ask yourself that all you hear may not be true
The war you talk about not fought in this country from where we live so far away
You have the right for to voice your opinions though I don't agree with what you say.

You tell me that we are the good guys come pray tell me then who are we?
'Twould seem you feel you speak for the masses though in that you should not include me
And there are many others out there who with your views would not agree
Our enemies to us live nearer than in a land beyond the sea.

We only hear one side of the story and that story you choose to believe
But if you believe all that they tell you it goes to prove how easy you are to deceive
The war you talk of not fought in this country and only one side of the story we hear
And we do not have to live with the suffering and we do not have to live with the fear.
