The dark winged willy wagtails chase each other around
They squabble over land rights above their feeding ground
The loser has to fly away to try to stake a claim elsewhere
In human life and bird life comparisons not rare,
In human life and bird and animal life the differences not great
We do fight over territory and over the right to mate
The loser has to back off and live to fight another day
We are not different to other life forms despite what many do say,
Survival of the fittest in all life forms does apply
The aggressive black and white willy wagtails they squabble as they fly
Where insects are quite plentiful they fight for territory
The winners they can eat well the losers have to flee
And that's the way with us humans too we so often disagree
We are not that different to other life forms that's how it does seem to me.
