Hard rock and rap music are things he enjoy
He is a grown man with the heart of a boy
In his early forties a decade past his prime
And already in his greying hair showing the passage of time.
A single father with one son of eighteen
The locals they know him as The Evergreen
He still stays out late on a saturday night
And discos on till sunday just before dawn's light.
To teenage disco dancers he seems a bit old
But to watch him dance quite a sight to behold
For one well past his prime he is quick on his feet
And he can dance in time to the loud disco beat.
With those half of his age he dances all night long
And he knows the words of every rap song
And that one is as young as they feel to him does apply
And that is a truth that few would wish to deny.
