Casterton

The hills above Casterton look bare and brown
And never much traffic in Casterton Town
And no factory chimney polluting the air
A nice Town to live in such places are rare
The creek has stopped flowing and bone dry every drain
And the countryside around Casterton is in need of heaps of rain
But the thirsty one El Nino is still lurking around
To suck up the recent rains from the hard ground
A problem with tap water in Casterton of late
The reservior water rather murky is hardly top rate
But apart from that it would be fair to say
That Casterton to live in as a place is okay
The birthplace of the Kelpie sheepdog it's claim to renown
The road into Casterton winds up and down.
