She Was A Champion Dancer

Her hair as gray as feather of gray crow
And she's a link to years and years ago
Her memory still good for one of her years
And she looks back with no regrets or tears.

She's ninety years or so i have been told
But looking at her she doesn't look that old
If you asked me what age Una might be
I'd say she's seventy going on seventy three.

She was a champion dancer in her day
And very famous so the record say
She and her husband made great dancing team
He was the ballroom king and she the queen.

Her memories take her back long years in time
Back to her childhood years before her prime
And she is always happy to recall
Her greatest moment at the Governor's ball.

Four score and ten and for her years quite hale
She walks to Belgrave each day without fail
Oft seen her on the street or at her ease
Having a coffee in the 'Lebanese'.

Her health is good and she has good memory
And just ten years left to reach her century
And if you asked me what age Una might be
I'd say she's seventy going on seventy three
