He's out of work and his knuckles bust and he feels sorry now
And he is paying the price in pain for trying to bash a cow
He wears a bandage round his hand and his fingers ache and ache
I've heard some stories in my time but this one 'takes the cake'
What happened between 'Blur' and the cow we don't have a replay
He went home drunk so i've been told or so his workmates say
Perhaps the cow must take the blame she provoked the attack
But cows are big and strong and tough and their bones don't easily crack.
They like their spirits and their beer out Warby Millgrove way
And the local pub does roaring trade it's even full by day
To Carlton Breweries and John Elliot they give more than fair share
And like thylacine in Warburton the non drinker is rare.
The cow she sits and chews her cud not hard to understand
Whilst blur's obliged to suffer with a bone broke in his hand
And reader there's a lesson here before you punch your cow
Just think twice and think of Blur who feels so sorry now.
