The Evil Things Men Do

They are gunned down by the poachers for their tusks for ivory
And their tusks are sold to dealers with connections overseas
And on their carcasses the vultures and the wild hyenas feed
Oh the callous things men will do for to satisfy their greed

Watched a documentary on them called 'Our World' on t.v.
And i felt so disappointed and saddened at what i see
And i felt sick and disgusted at human brutality
Modern man still so destructive in the twenty first century.

And the elephants disappearing from the jungle and the plain
And in some parts of Africa only their skeletons remain
They are gunned down by the poachers by the dozen every day
And they will be extinct in ten years so conservationists say.

Time will come when African elephant will only be seen in a zoo
And i feel so much revulsion at the evil things men do
The World's largest land living mammal falling to the poacher's gun
And their bones are left to whiten in the hot African sun.
