Fame has passed me by and me did not embrace
And I'm a stranger where i live and mine is a strange face
To people of the town that i meet every day
We pass each other by without a word to say
About the weather or plain greeting words strangers use when they greet
Going by that i must be strange a stranger on my street
As a stranger in the town there's none stranger than me
And a stranger to myself is all I'll ever be
The problems that i have i try to solve them on my own
A stranger to myself and to others an unknown
Have you too felt this way has fame too passed you by
For fame seems to ignore the people who are shy
A stranger on your street none to you say hello
A stranger to yourself and your neighbours you do not know.
