You Can't Win Them All

You cannot like everyone that you come to know
For every twenty friends you have perhaps you have one foe
Though you may be a good person honest and kind
An enemy or two on your life's journey you'll find
You may be the most popular one in the town
But there will be a few who will try to drag you down
You cannot like everyone for everyone does not like you
And when you make many friends you make enemies too,
You may be a person many highly rate
But not everybody will think you are great
Some people find joy in another's downfall
And you may win many friends but you can't win them all
And we all have our friends and we all have our foes
That's just part of living one has to suppose.
